About Virgil
Virgil Fludd resides in Atlanta and is a partner in the Academic, Non-Profit, Social Enterprise and Culture Practice. He has over three decades of executive search experience and is a trusted advisor to organizations seeking operational and cultural excellence.
With management consulting, public policy, government relations and corporate sales and marketing skills, he has unique insight on the tactical and strategic landscape. Virgil’s extensive experience leading searches has allowed for an outstanding track record of success for his clients. He is an enthusiastic problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with others to decipher complex issues.
Experience
Virgil joined Caldwell from The Carvir Group, an executive recruiting firm he founded in 1992. He assisted a broad range of Fortune 1000 companies in finding the best qualified candidates for executive and leadership positions. Previously, he worked for Bank of America as a vice president and sales manager. He began his career at Xerox Corporation in roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in vice president, marketing.
Virgil served seven terms in the Georgia General Assembly and has a deep understanding of government operations and public policy. He recently served on the Board of Trustees at Davidson College and was president of the alumni association. He is also a Flemming Fellow, a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Fayette and the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute.

Virgil holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Davidson College in Davidson, NC.
