About Chris
Chris Macmillan is a consultant in Caldwell’s Industrial Practice, supporting partners globally across sectors. With close to 15 years’ executive search experience, Chris has successfully worked across a wide range of Board and executive level positions based in the UK, Europe, the Americas, Australia, Africa, Middle East and Russia.
Experience
Prior to joining Caldwell, Chris spent five and half years as the head of research for a leading international executive search and board consulting boutique firm in London, specialising in the natural resources sector and successfully completing mandates primarily within the mining and oil and gas industries. Positions included chief executive officers, managing director and general managers, as well as EVP, SVP and VP level appointments for some of the industry’s most well recognised operators and service providers.
Chris began his career working for MZI Limited, a boutique executive search firm in London. During this time he worked on retained assignments with both multinational blue-chip clients, as well as smaller businesses in the UK and across continental Europe, primarily within the FMCG, software, IT services and financial services sectors.
Education
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in politics and international relations from Keele University and a Master of Arts in international relations of the Middle East from Exeter University.
