About Alex
Alex Alcott is the managing partner of Caldwell’s London office, and a member of the Financial Services Practice. With more 20 years of executive search experience, Alex works across a range of clients including private equity, venture capital and infrastructure funds and portfolio companies, insurance companies and asset and wealth management firms.
Alex works on senior-level assignments across private markets and has completed many senior hires within Limited Partners and General Partners in fundraising/business development roles, investment professionals in direct and fund of fund businesses across Europe and North America.
He has also worked on a variety of C-suite roles including chief executive officer, chief financial officer and chief commercial officer both as one-off senior roles, as well as consultative “team builds” for newly-merged or growing organizations or private markets portfolio company rebuilds.
Across (re)insurance, Alex has built new executive teams, MGAs across a variety of lines of businesses and as well as all roles in the investment office.
Experience
Prior to Caldwell, Alex was a partner with Heidrick & Struggles in New York and London.
Education
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Bristol, UK.
